A quiet, funny and moving family drama about an ailing father (Eddie Garcia) and how his two daughters (Angel Aquino & Irma Adlawan) are torn whether to end or prolong his life is one of the conflicts and highlights of ICU Bed #7. Directed by Rica Arevalo, based on her Palanca Award winning screenplay, the film stars veteran actor Eddie Garcia in the title role of Lolo Joseph, the loud-mouthed patriarch who unknowingly changes the life of his family when he had a near brush with death. ICU Bed #7 is a 100-minute digital film that tackles universal themes like forgiveness, acceptance, healing and renewal viewed within the context of a middle-class urban family coping with the pains of illness. The film was graded "B" by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
